The lighthouse is on the Manteo waterfront, on the east side of Roanoke Island. The Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse is an exterior reconstruction of the square cottage-style screw-pile lighthouse which stood at the southern entrance to Croatan Sound, near Wanchese. Surrounded by the waters of Shallowbag Bay in Manteo on the Outer Banks, the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse is a cottage-style historical replica nestled in the downtown area. Leading the way to the lighthouse is a wooden boardwalk providing panoramic views of the waterfront perfect for your next event or wedding.
