Get Ready for Manteo's Annual 4th of July Apple Pie Baking Contest!

Get ready to heat up your ovens and show off your baking skills, because Manteo’s annual 4th of July apple pie baking contest is back and better than ever for 2026! Whether you're a seasoned baker or just starting out, this highly anticipated event is the perfect opportunity to put your culinary expertise to the test and take home some serious bragging rights—and cash.

The only rule? Your masterpiece must be made from scratch. So, grab your apron, dust off your rolling pin, and get ready to bake a winner!

Event Schedule & Location

This year, we are moving the fun to the Magnolia Market Pavilion. Come for the pie, stay for the party:

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Pie Drop-off Window. To enter, bring your pie directly to the Magnolia Market Pavilion during this hour.

1:00 PM: Low Tide Jam kicks things off playing your favorite hits!

2:00 PM: Judging begins.

After Judging: Stick around for a second live set of music from Low Tide Jam and the announcement of the winners!

Categories & Cash Prizes

We have two age divisions this year, so bakers of all generations can join the fun. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best pies in each category.
